Due to the emergency for the COVID-19 virus, our coming concerts have been rescheduled.
In these days we are constantly in touch with the choir Laudate Deum and the soloists and we have already identified the new possible dates for the performances of the St Mattew’s Passion in Milano and Lausanne. We can’t wait to be back to work and to see you at our next concert. Today we can only wish to overcome this emergency in the best way.
Cameristi della Scala will perform Bach’s St Matthew’s Passion for the first time in the church of San Marco in Milan on March 23rd, 2020 at 8.00pm. The performance will see the participation of the Lausanne chamber choir Laudate Deum en Choeur de Chambre, one of the most renowned Swiss choirs, which will debut in Italy in this occasion.
The concert, that will be conducted by Wilson Hermanto, will see the participation of excellent soloists, such as the tenor Maximilian Schmitt, in the role of the Evangelist, and the baritone Krešimir Stražanac, in the role of Jesus. The other solo parts will be entrusted to the mezzo-soprano Ingeborg Danz, to the tenor Patrick Grahl and to the baritone Johann Kristinsson.

A very intense weekend is coming for Cameristi della Scala. Two different programs for Matera Cultural Capitol of Europe 2019 in the same day. On September 21st we start at 12:00 at church of Purgatory with a program entirely dedicated to Antonio Vivaldi with compositions for solo violin, flute and cello. Soloists: Francesco Manara, Massimo Mercelli and Massimo Polidori.
In the evening, in the magnificent frame of Cava del Sole, we will perform one of our most acclaimed programs, “Le Otto Stagioni”. Solo violin, Francesco Manara.
On Sunday the last performance at Museo della Mille Miglia in Brescia for the Festival le X Giornate.
How many incredible things can happen at the same time…
Cameristi della Scala, under the baton of Wilson Hermanto, will make their debut on September 6th at the Enescu Festival in Bucharest. For the first time performing with the cellist Daniel Muller Schott and for the first time performing one of the most interesting compositions of a young George Enescu: the string octet op.7. The program also include Haydn cello concerto in C major and Tchaikovsky string Serenade op.48.
No doubt, it will be an exiting evening
On February 13th, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the rescue of the Abu Simbel temples from the waters of the Aswan dam the Salini Impregilo Group celebrates the achievement with an event at the Milan Triennale presenting the book “Nubiana” and a concert of the Cameristi della Scala with a program dedicated to the Egypt of the Pharaohs. La Scala musicians will perform some of the most beautiful and evocative pieces from Giuseppe Verdi’s Aida transcribed for chamber orchestra by Gianluca Scandola.
On January 30th Cameristi della Scala will perform for the first time in Grenoble in the concert season of la Maison de la culture.
The concert, with Ingrid Jacoby at the piano and Marco Toro as solo trumpet, will be conducted by Wilson Hermanto. Following the common thread of the concerts season in Grenoble the program will show humor in music in all its forms: from the shamelessly theatrical one of Mozart’s Musical joke, which teases the mediocre composers so appreciated at court, to the most sarcastic and bitter Shostakovich of the first concert for piano, trumpet and strings, in which the composer stands in open contrast with the aesthetic dictates of the Soviet regime.
Cameristi della Scala will be back to Imola on December 3rd, seven years after the wonderful performance with La Scala children’s choir at the Rocca Sforzesca. The concert, that is part of the Emilia Romagna Festival winter season, will be held at the Teatro Ebe Stignani and will involve La Scala first flute, Andrea Manco and La Scala concertmaster, Francesco Manara.

“If music be the food of love, play on
Give me excess of it, that, surfeiting,
The appetite may sicken, and so die”
(William Shakespeare.Twelfth Night, or What You Will, Orsino, act 1, scene 1)
It opens in the name of the great poet of love of the modern age, William Shakespeare, the musical path that the Polo Museale della Lombardia together with the Cameristi della Scala set up for Sirmione, the place of birth of the poet Catullo.
Sirmione in concerto will be a musical journey of 5 concerts that will involve, from June 9th to September 9th 2018 Cameristi della Scala alongside other good musical friends, such as Giovanni Sollima, cello virtuoso and famous composer and Richard Galliano, the celebrated French composer and accordionist. A journey through the music, where the pleasure of listening joins the incredible beauty of the places of the performances: the concerts will take place in the archaeological area of the Grotte di Catullo and the Castello Scaligero of Sirmione.

Cameristi della Scala and Francesco Manara, solo violin, will perform on May 15th at Milan’s Triennale Museum one of their most acclaimed programs: the Four Season composed by Antonio Vivaldi and las Cuatro Estaciones Portenas by Astor Piazzolla. The performance will take place in conjunction with the exhibition “Cyclopica” organized by Salini-Impregilo. Through a multi-sensory journey the exhibition represents the immensity of large-scale infrastructure: dams, bridges, tunnels, railways and roads that have marked the evolution of Mankind during the last century.
